I have both Opera browser as well as Opera mini browser in my nokia 6680 mobile.
Whenever i open a website in opera mini the data transfer is shown less than the data transfer in Opera browser for the same page. let for example if i open yahoo.Com in opera mini it shows about 20kb and if i open same in opera the data transfer is about 250kb,
why this large difference is shown for the same page in two different browsers?
Also why opera mini is very much faster than opera?

that's the difference between these two.
Opera mini makes the web pages as small as possible as you saw.and because of this it's so much faster.
but opera browser opens webpages as they are and it doesn't change them.
